The PC Teller successfully merges the PC and the teller
machine giving the bank more security for their customers and more flexibility
for the tellers.
Electronic Journal: The electronic journal allows the
bank to see every transaction performed by a teller. Specific transactions
can be recalled by dollar amount, time range, account number, or type
of transaction. This would allow a teller to print a customer a receipt
from earlier in the day; easily check for overages or shortages; show
when the busiest times of the day are for staffing purposes; or delete
a specific transaction
Security: The PC Teller system has high security requiring
passwords for tellers. Different user level also allow users to go into
specified areas only
Memo Posting: Transactions are posted to your mainframe
for immediate and accurate customer balances
Splits: From a single screen, a teller can perform
the most complex transactions: deposit cash, deposit checks, and get
cash back easily for your customers. PC Teller will even prompt for
the proper tickets to validate
Check Printing: The PC Teller will take your checks
and print them for you. A teller would enter the pertinent information,
enter the check into the validator, and a cashiers check, or expense
check will be produced needing only a signature
Batching Checks: Any cashed check will go into a batch.
Instead of sending out a cash out ticket with each cashed check, you
can cut down on the paper sent to proof by sending one cash out for
all batched checks
View Signatures: The PC teller will allow tellers to
look at a customer’s signature on their screen. You can also enlarge,
invert, and flip signatures on the screen to help spot forgeries
Detailed : Each
On Line/Off Line: If your network goes down, the PC
Teller doesn’t have to. Tellers can still serve the customers
by changing to "Offline" mode, then post transactions later,
when the network is back up
Savings Bonds: Updated every six months, the PC Teller
has the proper charts to redeem your customer’s savings bonds.
Enter series and amount and the PC Teller will do the rest.
End of Day: This large screen display will allow tellers
to count their cash and reconcile their drawers. A computerized balance
is shown to inform tellers if they are over or under.
